This unusual program draws inspiration from the darker side of the human experience, highlighting music’s unique power to console. American Composer Eric Whitacre’s When David Heard, an intense portrait of grief, is the centerpiece of the program. Other featured works include motets by Josquin Des Prez, MLK, arr. by Bob Chilcott, and Lux Aeterna by Edward Elgar.
