Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble Announces
Auditions for the 2016-2017 concert season
 

Individual auditions will be held for all voice parts on Monday and Tuesday, August 15 and 16, 2016 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. in Packard Hall, Colorado College. Group call-back auditions will be scheduled on Tuesday, August 23 between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m.
 
Founded in 1992 by artistic director Deborah Teske, the Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble is a select chamber choir of 26-30 auditioned voices dedicated to excellence in the choral art.  The ensemble performs repertoire spanning 1000 years, from Gregorian chant to new music.  Activities include a highly acclaimed local concert series, collaborative projects with many of the finest arts organizations in the Pikes Peak Region, and opportunities for touring and educational outreach. CVAE’s beloved annual Wintersong combines spoken word with ancient chants and polyphonies and modern choral works. Two performances in the candlelit splendor of Shove Chapel on Colorado College campus.

TAYLOR MEMORIAL CONCERT: Music for Choir and Organ

Grace and St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 631 N. Tejon

This performance will be CVAE’s second opportunity to feature the artistry of our newly appointed assistant conductor and principal accompanist, Deke Polifka, at Grace and St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
